OUR HISTORY

How and Why we started this Adventure.....

In 2001 my wife "Viki" and I moved here to Granite Bay from The San Francisco Bay Area ("Silicon Valley") looking for a positive change in our family's life.

When we moved here our children were 8 and 5 years old. Shortly after we settled in, our children became involved in a variety of different sports. Every weekend after their games we would crave for authentic Mexican food.

In The Bay Area we were able to find a Mexican place around the block and on every other block. Here however, we had to drive 30-40 minutes to find a decent taco or burrito. That is how it all began, my wife and I decided to embark on a new adventure, The El Sombrero Taqueria.

After over 20  years of serving this community we believe that it has been a blessing.

Our taqueria/cantina and catering service is available for private events: weddings, business lunches, dinners, cocktail receptions, and more. We would love to discuss how to be a part of your next event.

We refuse to compromise on quality in our Taqueria. That's why we source our quality fresh ingredients from local Established Suppliers, Local Farmers and Specialty markets.
